Primarily starting as an Instagram feed, in its early days, Norfolk Bloggers was the perfect platform to showcase local bloggers and influencers that are promoting our wonderful county and the local businesses that are established and grow here.

A husband and wife team with a passion for all things sweet (and 20 years professional baking experience!). Who are we?
We are Fred and Oak, a (soon to be) Husband and wife team based in Norfolk.
Our business started when I was 30 weeks pregnant, I wanted something special to announce our little miracle baby, so I made 2 small wooden plaques, I then designed one for a boy and one for a girl, Willow and Oakley. I packed them away in my hospital bag eager to know which one I would be using.
Our son Oakley was born, and so was our business ‘Fred and Oak’ (named after our two boys, Freddie and Oakley). That was little over a year ago and our business has grown, even though our workshop at the end of the garden hasn’t! Every name sign is handmade with love and attention and we feel so honoured to be a tiny part of your baby’s entrance into the world.

Who are we?
Step aside milkman! We are a family run company delivering grown-up treats. We are passionate about good wine and reducing waste in the wine industry. More than 28 billion glass bottles and jars end up in landfills every year, the equivalent to the empire state building filling up every 3 weeks! We are a team of wine experts who collectively have over 30+ years experience in the industry, who want to do our bit in reducing that. We use state of the art technology to pour wine from recycled kegs as if pouring straight from tank. Our wines stay fresh for 7 days (if they last that long) and are stylistically designed to be drunk young, all in good time for your next weeks delivery. “Drink/rinse/repeat!”

Who are we?
Watatunga is a stunning new wildlife reserve in west Norfolk run by a small, family team. Rare deer and antelope are amongst the world’s forgotten endangered species but these magnificent herbivores drive our passion for conservation and education. Based near King’s Lynn, we opened the reserve for the first season this year and look forward to welcoming visitors back in spring 2021. The reserve is situated amongst 170 acres of woodland, grassland and lakes, and provides a unique environment for over twenty types of ungulate and rare bird species to roam at their will. We run breeding programmes for many of our species including the great bustard, a spectacular bird which went extinct in the U.K. in 1832. We offer fully accessible self-catering accommodation overlooking the reserve and guided tours. We are offering a free tour in a 4-seater electric golf buggy during which you will be escorted on a 1.5 hour guided safari by an expert Watatunga guide. We are a combined bar and antique shop, specialising in recreating traditional British living habits. From punches that date back as far as the 18th Century, to local ale, to antique surgical equipment, there is nothing odd that we can’t provide!

We make lightweight statement earrings and a selection of glitter resin keyrings. All my designs are inspired by animal patterns and on-trend prints. Each product is hand made by myself, from polymer clay in small batches of around 15 pairs, making them a delightfully unique accessory.

We offer a truly unique ‘homegrown’ product where we fell, mill and dry our own oak. We sustainably manage our woodland and for every tree felled, we plant at least 10 more to ensure our woodland will last many lifetimes.We wanted to share our passion for the natural beauty and longevity of oak.
